When you've got absolutely no idea about what to wear or you're just in a complete rush, all you need are basics. If you're just stepping out to grab a quick bite or run some errands any of these tops would be perfect. Because they're all solid colours you don't really have to put a lot of thought into coordinating the different pieces.

Also, to dress it up just put on a pair of heels and some nice statement jewellery if you'd like and you're good to go!

Strobing is all about healthy glowing skin. Everyone, everywhere, seems to be catching on to this beauty trend. So, we thought we might as well share a little about it with all of you.

Here's a simple beginners guide to strobing and what it basically is: It's all about highlight, highlight, highlight. By highlight these particular areas of the face (as seen on the image), including your temples, you're also contouring your face without using additional products to do so. It's all about adding shine to areas of your face that naturally catch that light. Make sure to use a very light touch and build the products on.

Strobing's supposed to leave your face looking fresh and flawless for the most part. Perfect for the summer!

A black leather skirt (preferably a faux leather skirt) is a wardrobe staple. It's feminine, sexy, edgy and all in all incredibly versatile. Shopping for one isn't too hard but styling it could be a little tricky for most people. So, here are 3 easy ways to style this staple piece. Now that it's a little warmers you can obviously do without the jacket and stick to just the light weight flowy tops.

We'd shot this look a while back at Crisp in Bangalore but never posted it up. Love the blue lace/crochet top and the coral skort paired together but the lighting just didn't work out that well. But, since we still love the outfit we thought we might as well post it.

We're always drawn to, and end up wearing darker tones. So, this look was a nice pleasing change in terms of these colours. Hope you guys like this look too!

We saw this look and there was nothing we didn't like about this. The article suggests it's for women who have an hourglass body shape but we think nearly anyone could pull this look off. If you're body shape's more of a pear we'd suggest opting for black pants and a white top instead.

Are you as obsessed as we are with this look?

First, here's a little secret: This piece is actually the top half of the fringe skirt and top ensemble by designer Ritika Bahrwani, that we'd featured about a week ago. Being stylists we're all about restyling garments and creating different looks with the same pieces. We loved how simple and chic it looked and couldn't help but create another look with the piece! When you can create multiple looks from one outfit by the designer, that's surely a big win. We'll soon be styling just the skirt and will feature it here too!

Since, tassels and fringe are all the rage this season we thought we'd share this look with all of you. It's one of our favourite looks and you too could wear the trend without looking like you belong in the 70's.

This dress has just the right amount of fringe to ease someone into trying the trend if a complete fringed outfit is to overwhelming. To keep the look quite chic but to add some more dimension we paired it with these Casadei Leopard Blade Stilettos. We're obsessed with the sleek heel on this one!

Clearly, tassels and fringe have been everywhere from bags to shoes to jewellery and not just on clothes. So, if you're looking to incorporate the trend in your look but not with your clothes then pick a tasseled accessory instead. It could be a bag, bracelet, necklace or even heels.

This trend's definitely having a well deserved moment. So, go get yourself fringed and tasseled!

The most important thing to keep in mind when mixing prints and patterns is that, it's more about matching colours to get it right. If the colours compliment each other, the prints will usually look great together.  Make sure to keep one print simple while the other can be slightly more dramatic or graphic. We've stuck by this rule by choosing that simple patterned bralette and paired it with the slightly more dramatic floral kimono.

As much as we like pairing and mixing prints, print on print on print would just be a little too much. So, break up the look with at least one solid piece like we have. The plain high waisted shorts help calm things down and make it wearable.

Let's get mixing!

A lot of people always ask about my make-up and if I have any on etc. I'd hesitated posting about any of it because I'm not a huge make-up person and I never really experiment much. But I do have a basic routine that I always follow. So, I thought I'll start with the basics.

These are the products that I've been using to create a clean and even base. So, here you go:

Bobbi Brown
Hydrating Gel Cream
This is a water based gel-cream that really hydrates and moisturises the skin without leaving it oily. My skin's more on the oily side and that's why I really like this product and would definitely recommend it to everyone!

M.A.C
Select Moisture Cover Concealer (NC 42)
Almost all of us need a great concealer to cover up those blemishes or any dark spots on our face. Unlike most concealers that can be drying, this one by MAC is very blendable and moisturizing. I've repurchased this product a few times now because it just works well for me. But, if you're looking for some heavy coverage this isn't the product for you.

M.A.C
Mineralize Foundation (NC 40)
This is the only product that I've been using everyday that I wouldn't repurchase. Just because it's not for my skin type and the artist at the mac store didn't let me know it can be a little oily. It would be perfect for people with dry skin though. I've still been using it everyday because I really like the light to medium coverage. But, to eliminate the extra shine I've always got to finish it out with some powder. So, I'll just be using it till I finish it up.

Make Up Forever
Aqua Matic
I've been using a tiny bit of the shade ME-54 on the inner corners to just brighten up my eye area on days when I feel like I don't look too awake. It's the perfect shade for that. The awesome part about it though, is that it can be used as a highlighter anywhere else as well.

I've always loved black and white paired together. Add some gold heels and jewellery and that's everything I love in one look to be honest!

Vertical stripes are great for nearly every body type because they can elongate your body. They're easier to wear and a lot more flattering than horizontal stripes, especially if you're wider on the hip. If you're bold enough, you could mix up different prints and stripes. But, I was in the mood to keep it simple with added depth and sophistication. That's why I paired it with this gorgeous black floral cut out top to add more dimension and a fitted black blazer. To make it even more interesting I added the newspaper print John Galliano scarf to give the look some more character!

Hope all of you like this look and have had a wonderful weekend!

Here's look 3 of our 'How to style denim shorts' series and it's all about that long cardigan. I love this reinvented style of our classic cardigans. You can opt for a chunky long knit for a more bohemian style during cooler days. Or for a light weight fabric like this one for those slightly warmer days. Again, choose your fabrics depending on where you live. This works best for our Dubai weather. Anything chunkier and we'd be boiling.

When it comes to styling the long cardigan make sure you wear it with a fitted bottom.  I personally think they look best paired with something shorter on the bottom. But, if you want to cover up those legs this could look good with some tight jeans or leggings. Also, pairing it with some high heels can pull the whole look together making you look uber chic!

It's entirely up to you and how you want to style it. You could do the whole boho look or you could go with the chic and effortless almost model off duty look by keeping it quite sleek and simple. I'm in love with the long cardigan and I'm hoping you'll fall in love with it too!

Since I'm quite petite I usually have to opt for a sleek column fit skirt and nothing too voluminous. Being at the beach, pairing that black side slit skirt with something bright and bold was a must. I opted for a bandeau because they're perfect for the beach and are super easy to get in and out of if you've got your swimsuit under.

If you're ever in the mood to show some leg and a mini just isn't going to work for you a long or even midi length slit skirt can be a great alternative. I love, love how feminine and effortlessly sexy slits can look. Be it night or day, slit in the front or the back these skirts are a must have if you've got some killer legs to show off!

Like the Bohemian look we posted a while back featuring those gorgeous headpieces from Bandar Sarali, we decided to give the usual necklaces or earrings a rest again. This look is all about that scarf and simple headpiece.

So, here's a little breakdown of our second look for the 'how to style denim shorts' series.
The easiest way to wear your denim shorts is to pair it with a tank top, some sandals and you're good to go. But, we wanted to create a slightly boho chic look, so we decided to pair it with this gorgeous silk scarf, a simple gold head chain and a pair of black Louboutins. We also paired it with the grey Fendi bag so the scarf and all those colours remain the focus. If you've been wanting to try out head pieces but aren't sure if they'll suit you, opt for something simple like this instead of statement piece.
